Tesauro

Sir John Soane's house museum in London, the treasures of Greece  or those of El Carambolo are all collections that, despite their origins in very different periods of history, are the result of an impulse going back to the very beginnings of humanity. To a greater or lesser extent, everyone has collected something at some point in their lives. It is an impulse that begins in childhood. And for some people, it is a passion that never goes away: these are the true collectors, those who, with their spirit of discovery and curiosity, create a world of their own through their collection.

Tesauro is an artistic research that starts from a journey through the heritage of art history: As artists and collectors, we are seduced by the idea of creating an astounding treasure trove of collectible art objects. At Tesauro we are creating a living treasure, an ever-growing collection nourished by new creations. These are pieces that draw inspiration from both great and small: from iconic works or periods in the history of art, but also from details or secondary elements that may go unnoticed. Our imaginary, our particular artistic language, organises and unites this collection.
